The 1st Hungarian Ball in Almaty and Götz Wines

The 1st Hungarian Ball in Almaty, organized by the Consulate General, was a fitting celebration of Hungarian traditions and culture in Kazakhstan. We are deeply grateful to Consul General Mr. Szabolcs Szőke for the honorable invitation, which gave our family winery the opportunity to be personally represented at this special event.

The ball placed special emphasis on showcasing Hungarian wines and pálinkas, which not only enhanced the gastronomic experience but also strengthened Hungary’s reputation in Kazakhstan. It was a great pleasure to present the audience with the exceptional Tokaj wines of Götz Winery, the renowned Bikavér of St. Andrea, and the premium pálinkas of Nobilis.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to build new friendships and valuable partnerships, as well as to deepen cultural and business ties. This successful initiative marks the first milestone of a tradition-creating series of balls that could contribute in the long term to the international promotion of Hungary and Hungarian culture across Asia.

The prestige of the ball was further elevated by the presence of representatives from 19 countries in addition to Hungary, making the evening not only a celebration of Hungarian culture but also an international gathering — one from which Hungary’s good reputation is carried to many continents.
